FELTING WORKSHOP9:30 AM - 3:30 PMJoin Kathryn from The Australian Wool Store as she teaches you to create a piece of fabric from hand-dyed merino top using both wet felting and needle felting techniques. At the end of the class you'll have enough fabric to create a small coin pouch which can be further embellished with simple embroidery stitches using hand dyed embroidery thread.
This is an all-day workshop with morning and afternoon tea provided. BYO Lunch.

INTRODUCTION TO DROP SPINDLES10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Join Helen Keenan of Lyrebird Yarns as she teaches you to use a drop spindle to spin a single strand yarn, and then moving on to ply the singles together to create a 2ply yarn.
This workshop is for people who have never spun before.
Cost includes Asford Drop Spindle, notes and 50g of fibre.

TWO HANDED KNITTING10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Join Susan Stephens as she teaches you two handed knitting to help your colourwork. You will learn to knit by 'throwing' the yarn with your righthand and 'picking' the yarn with your left hand.
Participants need to bring two contrasting colours of the same yarn and appropriate circular needles.

Our favourite festival of yarn returns post covid and La Niña's floods in a new venue, the historic Winbourne. Located in the Edmund Rice Conference Centre and Retreat in Mulgoa at the foot of the beautiful Blue Mountains in covid safe surrounds, all the features loved and missed over the covid years will be back in October 2022.
Workshops will be held on Saturday 15 October, a communal knit night on Saturday evening and yarny goodness galore will be available for purchase from a fabulous selection of stallholders on Sunday 16 October.
